I started as a bookbinder in the late 1990s, then completed training in Book and Paper Conservation in 2004. Since 2014, I've been doing Conservation in private practice in Oslo. I participated in the Norsk Antikvarbokhandlerforening Bokmesse ~the Norwegian Antiquarian Book Dealers' Book Fair, in 2016 & 2017.
My clients include: institutions, book dealers, private book collectors, and people who have a family treasure to preserve. I'm glad to email my CV if you ask.
Technically, my Conservation certification is: The Certificate of Advanced Study in Conservation of Library and Archival Materials, which is an area of concentration within the Masters of Library and Information Science degree.
The Preservation & Conservation Studies Program at the University of Texas at Austin was a department within the School of Information, which had been called the Graduate School of Library & Information Science when I was a student there. The PCS program was called The Kilgarlin Center for Preservation of the Cultural Record between 2003 and 2009. This has become Preservation Studies in the School of Information and the PCS program no longer exists.
